From Hostage-Taker to President
The newly “elected” president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was a key figure in the 1979 takeover of the US embassy in Tehran; here’s a photograph of Ahmadinejad holding the arm of a blindfolded American hostage: AP Photo shows Iran’s new President as 1979 US hostage-taker.

This guys election makes me question the supposed youth reform we have been told about. I know the slate provided these poor voters is short, but I think they made a real mistake. It is very upsetting.
The fact that the media covered this as an election is farce- Imans in the Supreme Council rule that country. This guy was a "surprise" win? Who cares? Khatami couldn't piss a drop, even if he tried, which is debatable.
Enjoy the middle ages, you fucking animals.
